Document Management Module - Available 3/15/05

System Requirements: 

    Windows systems require a scanner, Adobe Acrobat that allow electronic signature to lock files, adequate hard drive storage, CD-Burner.

    UNIX/Linux system require Windows Desktops for clients, Anziowin client for the Windows Computer, samba or facetwin connection to Unix.  It is important for the Windows computer and the Unix computer to be able to see the storage folders and have permission to read and write to those folders.  This is a common way to share files with Windows.  The Windows Computer must have Adobe Acrobat and a CD-Burner.

Features:

This module will allow your practice to scan documents - save them on your system in a pdf format.  The file names can be loaded into a database and organized for easy access.  The documents that require a provider signature will be noted so the provider can review and add a signature to each document.  Document are assigned types and can be managed by patient, by date, by type, by provider. 

Documents that require additional information can be marked with a TO DO task and a WHO. These can be reviewed by other employees.
